This beautiful barn is perfect for families, friends and couples alike. It is spacious, cosy and perfectly designed for a relaxing stay for up to 8 people. Located on a working sheep farm on the Sugar Loaf mountain with a fantastic private patio area to enjoy BBQ’s on warm days and equipped with underfloor heating and games to snuggle up and relax when it's cold outside. With an outdoor hot tub so you can stargaze at night.

A Closer Look
Upstairs the master bedroom has a king size bed, two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all with luxury bed linen and towels provided. The barn has two bathrooms upstairs, one with a free standing bath and another with a shower. All bathrooms are complete with complementary Bramley products.
Bedrooms
The barn has an open living space with three sofas, coffee table, a smart TV, playstation and a board games trunk. It retains original features and is equipped with underfloor heating on the entire ground floor to keep you feeling cosy. Walk through to the dinning room that seats 8 and then into the fully equipped kitchen, that including range cooker with induction hob, Smeg fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. On the ground floor you will also find a wet room, which comes in very handy post walks and hot tub sessions.
Living Space
Outside there is a hot tub, patio with dining table, BBQ grill, pizza oven (April- September), fire pit, garden and an incredible view for you to enjoy.
The barn is completely eco friendly. It is heated by an underground heat source, solar panels power the electricity and the water is natural spring water.
Outdoors
Situated on an 250 acre Welsh farm on the Sugar Loaf mountain in the picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park. It is perfectly located for exploring the Brecon Beacons or relaxing in the beautiful countryside with scenic views of the Skirrid and the Bryn Arw.
Close by to Abergavenny town centre, only a 10 minute drive away and the lovely Crickhowell is 20 minutes in the opposite direction. The Crown at Pantygelli, which has recently been recognised as one of the top 50 pubs to visit in Wales and serves great seasonal food, is only a few minute drive away.
There is a lot to do, from walking, historical sites, a vineyard, activity centres and more places to eat and drink that you could possibly try during your stay.
Check in / outCheck-in is 4pm. If you are arriving early, have a look at our Things To Do page. We've listed lots of things you can do around the area while you’re waiting to check in.
Check-out is 10am.
Children & PetsIf you are travelling with little ones, we have lots of extras such as high chairs, cutlery and plate sets, a bottom stair gate and a travel cot, to save you bringing them from home. There is plenty of things to do with kids near by and we are happy to provide recommendations.
Two well behaved dogs are allowed and there is a large outside dog kennel that you can use if you wish.
EntertainmentOn a rainy day, there’s plenty to keep you occupied indoors. Enjoy the Smart TV in the living room, or dive into the board games stored in the blanket box. You can also use the PlayStation to play DVDs or games. Head outside for some relaxation in the hut tub and remember to stargaze at night, around the fire pit.
WALKS ON YOUR DOORSTEPThe farm covers 250 acres, and you’re more than welcome to wander around. Have a stroll through the sheep fields, follow the little stream, and head up into the woodlands whenever you fancy. It’s a great way to soak up the fresh air and enjoy the countryside right outside your door.
Step right onto the mountain. You’re already 500 meters up the mountain here, so you’ve got a great head start. Just head out your back door, take a quick walk up to the shepherd huts on the farm, and you’ll find a gate that leads onto the Sugar Loaf national footpath. From there, it’s just a nice walk up with incredible views all the way.
